  • PCPF Reunion headquarters:
The Channel Inn is our PCPF Reunion headquarters. (Channel Inn, 650 Water Street S.W., Washington DC ( Google Map) It's on the water front in Southwest Washington, next to where the Pajaro Jai will be docked. You do not have to stay at the Channel Inn to attend our PCPF Reunion.

  • Parking at Channel Inn for PCPF Reunion Attendees:
PCPF Reunion attendees, even those not staying in the hotel, will be entitled to three hours of free parking in the hotel for each of our PCPF Reunion events – 1) Friday evening, 2) Saturday morning and 3) Saturday evening. You must register for the reunion to take advantage of the free parking. All registered Reunion attendees will also be able to park in the hotel to visit the boat on Saturday afternoon.

  • Channel Inn:
The Channel Inn is a nice small hotel with reasonable prices for a hotel of its quality in Washington. The Channel Inn is holding a block of rooms for PCPF members on Friday and Saturday nights, September 15 and 16.

The PCPF special rate is $143, including all taxes and fees. That's about $40 less than the regular rate. You must reserve a room at the Channel Inn by August 31 if you want to stay there. The deadline has been extended as a courtesy thinking that some folks may not have responded because they have been on vacation. Any unreserved rooms will be released to the public after August 31 and will be available only on a space available basis at the higher rate. Right now, the hotel has no more rooms. The hotel reservations number is 800-368-5668. Our group confirmation code is 85926 or you can ask for the Peace Corps Panama group. Each Channel Inn room has two beds that will sleep two, but you can put four to a room. All hotel guests have free off street parking with all day in and out privileges. There is a coffee shop that opens early on Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast. Check in is after 2 and check out is before Noon.

  • Pajaro Jai:
Saturday after lunch will be free for viewing and cruising on the Pajaro Jai. The boat will be at the Gang Plank Marina. ( Google Map)

The Circulator costs $1.

  • National Peace Corps Association Activities: More than forty members of the NPCA community representing sixteen states are registered to participate in Capitol Hill Advocacy Day. A full day of advocacy activities are planned for September 14th, the 45th anniversary of the historic vote to establish Peace Corps in the House of Representatives! If you're also interested in the NPCA Advocacy Day 2006, here's the scoop on their website: NPCA Schedule for September 13 - 16, 2006.

Special Note: If you live in or near Washington, DC, you can play a special role in two particular ways:

  1. If you are registered to vote elsewhere in the country, your participation will help nationalize our advocacy efforts.
  2. If you can only participate for an hour or two, you can assist NPCA with information drops at all congressional offices. Contact NPCA at advocacy@rpcv.org.
