Now retired and still volunteering. Have taught English in China ('99) and Mexico (97) and worked as a Spanish teacher at a local high school (98). Enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail, rafting the Colorado through the Grand Canyon, and touring Alaska. Currently supporting and rooting for my wife's (Cindy) high school varsity field hockey team as it strives to remain undefeated . Finished the regular session 16-0. Hoping for a New York State championship trophy! May travel to Panama Sept/Oct 2,000 to hike the Vulcan de Chirique mountains. Anyone interested?

I heard some months ago that good friend of PCPanama, Segundo Elias Cano had recently died. Can anyone confirm this? Segundo helped us tremendously in our CD efforts in the Azuero, but was also noted for his unique ability to drink any six volunteers und r the table. Short and stocky Segundo was bred to handle Cerveza Balboa, a case at a time, so long as there was a seviche accompaniment. He will be missed.

OK people, you know hwo you are.....I did it...yep, got married to Poldy last Saturday!!! In a short legal ceromony here in Miami Beach and a fellow RPCV Colombia's home. The attendees were RCPV fellows at the FIU program here, along with friends from col ege before. Don't worry, I am going to have a "real" wedding next summer back home in Pennsylvania. I'm married to a Panamanian, Marcelo Batista, and we have a beautiful aby girl named Ana Marcela. The first time around I didn't put anything in the comments section. So I'm probably listed twice in the database: wow, 2 Eric Doyles!! Naaa, there's only one true Doilie. Anyway, I was an EE Volunteer. Did many things, had much fun...such as: teacher training seminars, environmental youth summer camps, school map and garden, classes with the kids, shottin the shit with los campesinos, muchos bailes, and of course Brisas Nortenas, the touring Panamanian folklore dance group comprised solely of gringos. (well, it was when I left)... Readjusting to life here in San Francisco... tough but exciting. Looking for a job. Have an interview with SF Conservation Corps and SF League of Urban Gardeners soon. Wonderful idea, this website. Would like to be in contact with folks who served or are serving in San Blas. After Panama I served as a PCV and training staffer in Yemen. I heard last year that my old friend Tony (Judge) Carusone had passed away. Judge and I had also served on the professional staff in Venezuela. He was unique, special and one-of-a-kind. He was generous with his time, his spirit and his heart. Judge was a good friend to the Peace Corps in general and to me in particular. I am curious, though, if any other volunteers may have have information as to the date and circumstance of his death. Ron Green Panama 13
