Trip included river rafting in Boquete. • See David's report and photos Crisis Corps in Panamà Panamá will soon be getting a little extra oompha from 10 Crisis Corps Volunteers. • Panama RPCVs are eligible to apply for Crisis Corps positions. For example, the Institute for the Development of Women and Children has requested a CCV to work as a HIV/AIDS Specialist for a 6 month assignment, starting June 2007. Read more by Tess Sparks	Get Involved! Join the PCPF Directiva. PCPF is a very exciting organization that continues to flourish. Now we need new faces to help bring in fresh ideas. Have you recently COS'ed and are looking at a way to continue to be involved with Panama? Did you COS years ago and want to be more involved? Do you have fun social event ideas about what would be great for the PCPF community? Are you experienced in fundraising for organizations that are important to you? Are you interested in website development? If so, we need you. We are looking for people to be the Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Panama Liaison, Fundraising Chair, Webmaster, Social Events Chair, and Communications Chair. One of the current board members will step up and be elected as the new President. You can live anyplace and be on the Directiva. Members have lived in Colorado, California, and we even had a member join a Directiva meeting by Skype from Bogotá. The Directiva normally meets every month for about two hours. They review the budget, vote on where to send new money, brainstorm activities that are relevant to the PCPF community, and continue to work toward moving the organization in a direction that is coherent with the Peace Corps activities in Panama. We ask that for each position be a one year commitment. Please send your name, contact information, Peace Corps site and volunteer years, and for what position you would like to be considered by June 15 to . We will hold email elections during June and then at our Annual DC Picnic in July we will introduce the new Directiva.

I now eat oil. • I’ve learned to prepare live animals for food. • I’ve identified edible plants. • I’ve learned to thermo regulate. • I have learned to manage groups. • I’ve learned to embrace embarrassment. • I’ve learned to improvise. • I’ve learned they’ll clap if you thank enough people. • I’ve generated new ideas. • I’ve been a good influence. • I’ve motivated people. • I’ve gained people’s confidence. • I’ve walked a year in chancletas or rubber boots. • I promoted literacy. • I helped create national laws. • I made a colorful casa comunal. • I gardened. • I worked on trash management.
